Wednesday Weddings – on Australian Bush Weddings

When I first googled ‘Bush Wedding’ I got nothing but pictures of George Bush’s family weddings. And this made me realise that we really do have a unique opportunity in Australia to create a stunning wedding in a beautiful bush setting. I am surprised that more people don’t choose this option- it was actually a little difficult to find the images for the post. Perhaps they are a little unusual because of the sheer amount of effort (and time and money) involved in creating a wonderful day in a place so remote. You have to think about everything, right down to the electricity, and getting musicians, waiters, photographers, etc. to the location. So, perhaps somewhere that’s not too remote, and try not to stress too much about the small things. Because if you can pull it off, it’s an absolutely breathtaking theme to have, with plenty of wow factor. Click through the gallery for more pics.

And the bush provides endless opportunities for decorations (often free!). Here are a few examples (click through the slideshow for the images):

And after dark is when it really comes into its own- bonfires, campfires, lanterns hanging from the trees, sparklers- but try not to cause any bushfires!!
