Reid and Wren

Saturday Snapshots – First Week of Winter

If I could sum up my week in one photograph it would look like this:

Keep Calm and Carry On.

Sickness and no sleep have plagued us this week. As a result my photos aren’t overly interesting. Welcome to my week of pics at home!

With very early morning wake ups comes Peppa Pig on the iPad.

Which in turn leads to very sleepy babies (and parents). Not that we’re complaining. Sleeping next to a baby is one of life’s true joys, and one we don’t get to enjoy very often anymore.

Here are some more of our moments at home: toilet training sulking (note the massive pile of washing in the background- toilet training and being sick are a bad combo); my uniform for the week (tracksuit pants and a daggy jumper) as well as lazy parenting (feeding a baby from a ‘goobag’); and Ari exploring Reid’s room while he’s at childcare.

We did eventually venture out – and both boys were very happy to leave the house! Reid is showing everyone his stamps he got for various potty training achievements.

Choosing what he wants from the bakery. He chose the biggest thing he could find.

Some cute legs climbing the stairs at the playground- and enjoying vegemite on rice cakes. Nom nom.

A few more random pics- swinging my baby around like he’s a dumbell (great workout!); a gorgeous new addition (neon!) to my friend’s house; and a younger trashbag sister hanging out after a big night.

And, last but not least, I left the house at night!! Had a wonderful dinner with my beautiful friends, gossiping on the couch and eating too much chocolate mousse (and the most delicious soup I’ve ever had, called Hummus soup, of all things! Nina, I’m still waiting for that recipe).

Best of the week: Getting on top of the toilet training! Yay Reid!

Worst of the week: Trying to survive on 3 hrs broken sleep each night.

On my mind: My new blog! Oh, and returning to work in 3 weeks 😦
